Every company and project is constantly evolving, even if that progress isn’t always immediately visible. The key question is, whether the business is growing or is it stagnating and losing its edge? And more importantly, what does growth mean?
In our view, growth isn’t just about numbers - more kilos, more revenue, more profit. We’ve never aspired to become a large, mainstream tea company, producing and selling tens of tons of tea. Taking that path would inevitably mean losing the essence of what makes us unique: a small farm where every kilogram of tea leaves is important. Every batch is carefully handled by one of our tea masters—Aleko, Hannes, or Tomas—creating artisan teas that are distinct and full of character. Sharing this journey with you, pushing the boundaries of what Georgian tea can become, nurturing Georgian tea culture, and helping to revitalize life in small Georgian villages—this is our way of making the world a little better. And it’s a mission we proudly continue with Renegade Tea Estate.
So, over the years, we’ve often asked ourselves how can we develop the Renegade brand without losing what makes us special? How can we engage new people, as customers and as partners? What inspires your trust, loyalty, and support for our work?
We believe that many of you are with us, because we are not just a tea farm—we are storytellers. We share stories about driving change, taking risks, and embracing sustainability. Stories of producing food with respect for nature while ensuring it’s accessible and fairly priced. Our aim is to bring transparency to the food industry and we want to bring you along to the journey.
A few years ago, we realized that for Renegade, growth isn’t necessarily about new plantations or factories—though we remain open to those possibilities if the circumstances are right. For us, growth is about a new chapter, a new story. A story of resilience, restoration, and transformation. It’s about doing something bold and adventurous—exploring paths others might dismiss as too risky or unconventional. This is what fuels us: pushing boundaries and creating meaningful impact.
After years of crises and "near-death" experiences with our company—from the COVID-19 pandemic to the war in Ukraine—we believe the time has come to take a new bold step forward. While exciting projects and ideas are in the works for our tea farm, Renegade Tea Estate, we also feel that the moment is right for the next jump into the unknown. Every business needs dreams and goals that go beyond just improving efficiency. It needs ideas that aim to make an impact to the world.
Now we're brewing something new…stay tuned!
