VISIT OUR TEA FARM
Nestled amidst the rolling hills of Georgia, Renegade Tea Estate welcomes you to explore the art of tea cultivation and production. Just a short 20-minute drive from the bustling city center of Kutaisi lies our verdant tea plantation, offering a tranquil escape into nature's embrace. Come and see an almost century old tea plantation that has been given a new life after 30 years of abandonment. Step into our tea factory, where traditional tea production intertwines with modern technologies and experimental approaches, resulting in an array of flavors that redefine Georgian tea.
GUIDED TOUR AND TEA TASTING
We'll show you around our tea fields and small tea factory and taste fresh teas together. You'll learn about Georgian tea, how tea is grown and made, and what it's like to be a tea farmer in Georgia. The whole visit takes approximately 2 hours.
The tour costs 40 GEL (about 15 EUR/16 USD) per person. Children up to 15 years (included) are free! Feel free to come with your friends and family or alone.
We offer tours from Monday to Friday at 10:00 AM. Pre-booking is essential! As the production season is intense and our team is small, then we aren't able to show you around outside of these times.

HOW TO GET TO RENEGADE TEA ESTATE
1. BY CAR - We are just a 20-minute drive away from Kutaisi, you can find the Google Maps link here.
2. BY TAXI - For a hassle-free trip, we recommend using the Bolt application. Alternatively, you can find a regular taxi in the city centre as well.
Using public transport can be challenging due to uncertain schedules and language barrier, but here are some options:
3. MINI BUS (MARSHRUTKA) - Mini buses leave from the David and Consantine Mkheidze St in Kutaisi, find the location here. You can ask to make a stop at the gas station (here) in Gumati village. It's a 5 minute walk to our factory from there. Payment in the bus is only in cash.
4. CITY BUS - Nr 6 and 106 leave to Gumati village from a bus stop in Kutaisi (here). The last stop is here and from there it is a 50-60 minute uphill (!) hike to our factory. Please note that you have to walk on the side of the main road, there are no sidewalks and the road can be quite narrow on some turns. Payment in the bus is only with card.
Please note that bus drivers do not speak English, so you'll need some knowledge of the Georgian language or use body language :)
